This promotion is great for the ladies who are interested in some new arrivals, that have yet to be marked down.

With that said, J.Crew still has quite a few items in their Sale (click here to shop online) section online. Not sure why they did not continue to run the 40% off sale, in addition to this one.

J.Crew has a nice update to their Sale (click here to shop online) section online this morning. Lots of merchandise (1870+ for Women and 855+ for Men). As one would expect, things are selling out.

J.Crew thankfully realized AGAIN that the only way to move this merchandise is with an additional percent off. Especially after the last 20% off for cardmembers, no one was buying that much without a promo.

With all that said, why is this promo for just two days?! Why is it only 40% off?! Make it 50% off and leave it up until the numbers dwindle down to the few hundreds. Especially with all the new markdowns, J.Crew has to make some room.

J.Crew Updates Website Design {crap}

"Thanks!" to many of you, including November Jones (in this post), who noticed and commented on J.Crew's "improved" layout design that took place during the last rollout of new arrivals.

In addition to the new header announcing promotions and offers, many of you noticed that the sale section get revamped. The new layout (shown above) still offers customers a way to drill down by category, size, etc. However, it no longer allows customers to choose how many items they can see at once.

The old layout shown below, seems a lot better to me. Why? Because it is easier to navigate, easier to sort, easier to see multiple items on one page. Under the old layout, I only had to browse 21 pages. Under the new layout, I have to browse twice as many.

Now, this just might be a case of familiarity. I recognize that time and usage may change my mind. However, right now I am missing the old layout. In my opinion, this is a downgrade...

J.Crew Updates Sale Section

J.Crew has a nice update to their Sale (click here to shop online) section online this morning. Lots of merchandise (1000+ for Women and 570+ for Men).

Now that the EXTRA50 promo ended, there are quite a few items in the sale section. But that is how it goes! I have a feeling there will be another sale-promo-code soon since the last one was so successful in moving out merchandise.

Last Day! Extra 50% Off Final Sale at J.Crew

J.Crew sent an email this morning reminding customers that today is the last day they are offering 50% off Final Sale with promotional code EXTRA50.

This sale did exactly what it should have. Items in the sale section have been selling out quickly. As of time of posting, the Sale (click here to shop online) section has 700+ for Women and 420+ for Men. A significant drop from the 1700+ items for Women and 700+ items for Men that we have seen in the past few weeks.

J.Crew's Sale Section is Still Bursting

I, along with many of you, thought there would be another promotion from J.Crew today. Instead, J.Crew sent an email this morning about it's Surf Varsity Jacket. Nice jacket, just not what I was expecting. ;)

What was I hoping to see from J.Crew: another additional percent off promo for their Sale merchandise. Why? Because the amount of stuff on sale is crazy right now. J.Crew Sale (click here to shop online) section this morning has 1600+ for Women and 800+ for Men.

Not only is there a huge sale inventory, but items are just lounging around the sale section and not selling out quickly.

I am not sure what plans J.Crew might have for the items (e.g. sending it to the clearance centers), but they may want to offer a deep discount (a la 50% off) or reduce prices some more. It's time to clear out merchandise that will start becoming in-season again (because they have been around that long!) ;)

Last Day: Extra 40-50% Off Sale

J.Crew is sending out yet another email, reminding customers that they are still running 40% off Final Sale (& 50% off select items) with promo code HAPPYSALE. This offer expires today, February 4, 2014. 

Over at their Sale (click here to shop online) section, there are 1100+ for Women and 500+ for Men. The sale section is still large, but not as large has it had been in the past few weeks (with 1500+ items for women showing up on a regular basis).

Also, as many of you have noticed and commented, brick & mortar stores have packed up most of their sale items to ship back to the warehouses. We may see some increases in stock for the sale items in the upcoming weeks.
